About Faroe Islands

Are you craving meaningful connections in a destination with a unique identity?

The Faroe Islands are a hidden gem, made up of 18 beautiful, wild and unforgettable islands, all sat at the edge of northern Europe. It is a place quite unlike any other. Like something dreamlike from Norse mythology. And it is this unquenchable desire to stamp an identity in this swirling land and seascape that gives the Faroe Islands, and the people who live and visit here, a sense of experiencing something very different.

The Faroe Islands are a destination making a distinctive name for itself as it attracts an eager international audience. At the southern edge of one of the islands sits Tórshavn, a capital full of contrasts. With a population of around 22,000 people, it is also the cultural and economic center of the Faroe Islands. The city is also well known as a hub of creativity and innovation, with a dynamic startup scene and a growing reputation as a center of excellence in technology, renewable energy, and sustainable development.

Located in the heart of the North Atlantic, the Faroe Islands offer stunning views of rugged mountains, scenic coastlines, and picturesque villages. Most of the islands are connected with bridges, ferries or sub-sea tunnels, that allows 90% of the inhabitants to be connected through one network of roads. Its unique blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and modern amenities, inspired some of the largest and most respected travel publications in the world, which have chosen the Faroe Islands as a top destination to visit in 2019.
