He has held academic positions at the Schools of Medicine and Engineering, University of the Republic, Uruguay. He was Vice President of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) and President of the Global Alliance for Medical Education (GAME). He is Associate Editor of Applied Clinical Informatics, Founding member of the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics and President & CEO of EviMed.

Santiago Gonzalez, studied Biological Sciences at the University of the Republic, Uruguay. Programmer, specialized in Php and Mysql language. Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Uruguayan Council for Social Welfare, a 2nd degree body that brings together the highest authorities of the Ministries of Health, Education and Culture, Social Development and Labor, presidents of Uruguayan NGOs together with the Public and Private Academy. Elected Vice President for the Latin American and Caribbean Region of the International Council of Social Welfare an organization with the highest consultative status within the United Nations in relation to the work of the Economic and Social Council, accredited to the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and to regional intergovernmental organisations. Has 15 years serving as part of the meetings Industry, was Managing Director of Easy Planners a Uruguayan PCO, Sales Executive at Torre de los Profesionales Convention Center and integrated the technical team of the AV companies CINUR – AUDICO – Congress Rental. Thomas F. (Tommy) Goodwin leads government relations for the Project Management Institute (PMI), the world’s leading not-for-profit professional membership association for the project management profession. In this role, he directs legislative and regulatory efforts to help prepare governments around the world for The Project Economy: the coming economy in which work, and individuals, are organized around projects.
Prior to joining PMI, he spent more than 15 years leading a wide range of government relations, public affairs, and advocacy efforts for several globally-recognized associations and corporations, including AARP and Oracle. Additionally, he was a research fellow at Harvard Business School focused on the international political and legal environment in which business operates.
He has a B.B.A. from The George Washington University, an M.B.A. from Auburn University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in European Union Law from King’s College London. He also holds a Certified Association Executive designation from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and is a member of ASAE’s International Associations Advisory Council.

Steven Basart serves Kellen’s international associations through strategic planning and by identifying global market opportunities for their industry or profession. He has guided clients on the implementation of their strategy for Asia by successfully establishing their government relations, communications, membership development programs, as well as overseeing their local Chinese website launches.
Steven has served as the former director China for the Drug Information Association during which time he actively built strategic alliances with local counterpart organizations and government agencies including the Commissioner of the SFDA, key players at the Ministry of Health, and leading pharmaceutical and healthcare industry media. He has also supported international questions on Chinese food laws and delegations at the Codex Committee meetings on food additives.
Steven represents Kellen and their clients at the Beijing-based European, American, and Benelux Chambers of Commerce. He holds a Masters in Chinese Studies and Bachelors in Law with cum laude distinction from Leiden University.
