In this session, a panel will explore various unexpected factors influencing planners' decisions when selecting venues and destinations for their events. These factors may include political climate, economic volatility, cultural sensitivities, legal and regulatory changes, and other broad societal trends that impact the choice of destination and venue.
This new reality also creates challenges for destinations, venue operators, and managers. The discussion will therefore also address how external influences can affect venue managers' decisions regarding the events they host. By examining real-world case studies, such as the Leipziger Messe venues, attendees will gain insights into the relationship between societal factors and event planning. Participants will engage in a dialogue to share experiences and develop strategies for effectively navigating these influences.
